This spectacular resort with 5 swimming pools-two of them lake size pools, a wave pool
and a moving river that connects all the pools together. Imagine the fun-body
surfing on frothy waves or floating along a winding river that sparkles under a
tropical sun. As part of the Iberostar Paraiso, five 3 story buildings with 446
rooms and sites are encased in a tropical greenery. For dining guests can choose
from lavish buffets and specialty restaurants with a choice of Italian,
Southwest Cajun, Chinese and Gourmet fare. Or stay poolside at the grill & snack
bar. Guests of the Paraiso Lindo are welcomed to enjoy the facilities of sister
resort Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar and Iberostar Paraiso Beach, giving a total of
14 locations for food and drink, while retaining the privacy of their own
resort.
The facilities at Paraiso Lindo include 11 dining areas and nine bars. Dining
options include a gourmet dining room, Cajun, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and
Mexican restaurants, and a steak house. Guests also have dine-around privileges
at the neighboring Paraiso del Mar and Paraiso Beach resorts (these privileges
do not reciprocate).
Five pools (including the wave pool and lazy river pool) are offered. Additional
amenities include two lighted tennis courts, as well as sailboards, Sunfish and
kayaks at the beach. A children's club is provided, and babysitters are
available at an extra cost. A conference center has boosted convention capacity
to 1,200 people. Guests of the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo can use the wet areas of
the complex's lavish spa if they book a spa treatment or pay an entrance fee.
Accommodations are in five three-story structures (no elevators) and feature
expanded sitting areas with sofas and coffee tables facing desks, as well as
large sliding-glass doors opening to terraces or balconies. At the entrance to
each room are the wet bar, closet and bath. Dual ceiling fans swirl overhead,
and the cool tiled floors and colorful fabrics dress up the tropical look. Dark
hard-wood furnishings and pencil-post headboards add to the tropical-colonial
decor, with Mexican-inspired art giving it all a regional twist. All rooms have
king or two double beds, combination baths with marble counters and hair dryers,
brisk air-conditioning, minibars, safes, irons and coffeemakers. Junior suites
add more space and whirlpools. Housekeeping does a good job, folding towels into
origami birds and scattering flower petals. Unlike at its neighbors, the Paraiso
del Mar and Paraiso Beach, room service here runs 24 hours.
The five star all-inclusive Iberostar Paraiso Lindo resort is located directly
above the tropical beach of Playa Paraiso, located between Puerto Morelos and
Playa del Carmen Mexico, also known as the Riviera Maya. The complex is directly
next door to the Iberostar Paraiso Beach and Iberostar Paraiso del Mar, and a is
located directly adjacent to the Iberostar Paraiso Maya. The Iberostar Paraiso
Lindo is just 25 kms. south of the Cancun International Airport.
The Iberostar Paraiso Lindo has a beach of fine, white sand and crystalline
waters stretching for over a kilometer. One of the best beach areas in the
Riviera Maya! And just half an hour's drive away is Cancun and a 20 minute drive
to Playa del Carmen.
The surrounding ecological environment is composed of palm trees, sub-tropical
mangroves, and lush vegetation. The hotel is perfectly integrated into the
surrounding environment.
The resort is spread out amongst three-story bungalows in an idyllic setting,
with meticulously decorated double rooms and junior suites. All the rooms are
complete with those little details that will ensure you enjoy your holiday to
the fullest.
Iberostar Paraiso Lindo along with all of the all inclusive Iberostar resorts
have an exceptional and fun kids program during the day as well as having the
kids participate in a pre-show nightly before the family entertainment begins in
the theater.
The Iberostar "Star Friends" have entertainment and activities going all day
long so if you want to get involved and meet other people this is the perfect
opportunity, whether it is beach volleyball, water polo, Spanish lessons, dance
lessons or one of the may other activities, you are always invited to
participate. If you want to be left alone to relax or enjoy your favorite book
that's okay too. The Iberostar has something for everyone.
If you are going on your honeymoon, the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo is the perfect
honeymoon getaway for you. They will take the best care of you for all of your
honeymoon vacation needs.

Iberostar Paraiso Lindo Review
We have just returned from an amazing holiday at the Iberostar
Paraiso Lindo in the beautiful Riviera Maya. I am going to try and give as much
detail as I can from our two weeks at the complex.
Flight: Outbound
We flew with First Choice Airways; the flight was decent but the plane was a
little dirty and tatty. I hear they have a new fleet arriving in 2010 though.
Upon arrival we had to circle for 20 minutes as a storm was bombarding Cancun
international Airport.
Flight: Inbound
Delayed for an hour but we just sat in TGI Fridays with drinks and food. The
plane was cleaner than the outbound journey but the staff excellent on both
journeys.
Airport:
Immigration was a little bit of a nightmare as they only had 2 people on the
desk for the three flights that had just arrived. We waited over 40 minutes to
get through. We then had to get through the time share people who know your
flight number and details. Just head for the door as the reps are usually
located outside with a card indicating the airway/tour operator. We then waited
around for 30 minutes and had a cold Corona from the bar outside. The holiday
had started.
Transfer:
No problems at all. We had one drop off before the Iberostar complex and the
journey took about 45 minutes.
Check In:
This was easy, took no time and we were offered the chance to maybe upgrade to
the Grand with the receptionist obviously wanting a seriously large tip. We
declined as the Lindo was the place we wanted to stay.
Rooms:
We were located in Block 52, which was perfect for the pool, main hotel, beach
and the theatre. The room was clean, modern and had everything we needed. The
A/C was fine and a ceiling fan is also included in the room.
Pool:
Very nice pool, decent temperature but pretty hard to find an area which had
both shade and sun. The wave pool was cool and the lazy river was amazing for
chilling and getting a very good tan. The pools are cleaned all the time and
maintenance undertaken on a regular basis.
Beach:
Very nice beach, very easy to find a decent bed with shade and sun option. Lots
of fish to be fed and some decent waves for getting knocked over by. The
boardwalk to the beach is also the home of the little coatis, very cute and
great fun to feed.
Bars:
The swim up bar was very good as was the pool bar and the beach bars. The lobby
bar had a musty smell (cigars maybe) but we mainly drank in the theatre
bar/area. The Maya bar was cool, it is located inside a large temple with a 40ft
ceiling and premium brand drinks are available at both the Lindo and Maya.
The galaxy nightclub is something different to extend the night. We had fun but
a few too many drunk young (18, 19 year olds) Americans who cannot handle their
beer frequented this place. The line dancing to soldier boy had my chin on the
floor in amazement the English and Americans have such different nights out.
It was funny to watch though.
We visited other bars on the complex but they all seemed pretty much the same
except for no premium drinks.
Drinks:
Very good, we did not have a problem with anything. If they were too weak then
we requested more alcohol. If you do not like it, then just get another.
Food:
I did not have a bad meal. The food was serious worry for me before we left
England but we did not have a problem at all. We ate at the following:
Breakfast Amazing at the Lindo, top notch grub.
Mexican Decent restaurant but no way the best on the complex.
Steakhouse (Maya) Excellent, we went three times. The tenderloin is a quality
piece of meat as is the buffet starter.
Japanese This was a very good meal, but a sauce is needed as it is pretty much
just a plate of meat and veggies alongside a bowl of rice. We requested a few
sauces and the meal was propelled to very good.
Italian Not bad really. Fresh pizza, pasta and meat also available. The red
snapper was a favorite.
Seafood (Maya) Very good meal, the Lobster and Steak is a must.
Brazilian Really enjoyed this. You have a buffet starter as with most
restaurants and then they bring out about 8 different meats on very large
skewers that are carved at your table. You are able to request as much as you
like. A real meat feast.
Gourmet (Lindo) This started off very bad, with a disgusting canapι and a
horrible starter. The menu is very limited but the main meal of fillet steak and
the red snapper saved this mean for us. The desert was also very good.
Cajun We all pretty much enjoyed this restaurant but it was not what we
expected to be honest.
Buffet Very good fresh cooked meats, great choice and some very spicy sauces
which I liked.
Grounds:
Absolutely beautiful. Always somebody cutting, cleaning, mopping or repairing in
the blistering heat. This is a very large complex and it is immaculate.
Shopping Complex:
Not bad, the shops are a little poor but the food available is decent. Burger
bar which offers hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hotdogs, chicken burgers, fries and
chicken nuggets. Tacos place, tapas bar, ice cream parlor and a creperie. Also
the nightclub is in the shopping centre.
Excursions:
We did the following:
Underwater World Snorkeling in a Cenote and then swimming with Turtles. This
was an amazing trip. We saw plenty of turtles and even two stingrays. The cenote
was amazing.
Jungle Tour Speed boat driving through mangroves and then snorkeling at a
reef. We even saw a salt water croc. Amazing trip.
Cancun Bar Crawl Very good, we had fun!
Overall it was an amazing holiday. I would return in an instant
