This all inclusive resort is nothing short of spectacular from the moment you
walk in. Located 30 minutes south of Cancun and 15 minutes from Playa Del
Carmen, the Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar is the perfect place to vacation. Every
aspect of this resort was magnificent: the food, the staff, the pool, the beach,
the entertainment. Situated between Puerto Morelos and Playa del Carmen, this all-inclusive
property is operated in conjunction with the adjoining Iberostar Paraiso Beach;
guests who book one can routinely end up at the other. The hotels are
encompassed by a complex along with a second pairing, Iberostar flagship Paraiso
Lindo and Paraiso Maya, as well as the new adults-only Iberostar Grand Hotel
Paraiso. Together the resorts make up their own contrived vacation town, Playa
de Paraiso, and Paraiso Beach and Paraiso del Mar have separate lobbies, but the
difference ends there, as guests at either hotel have the full run of
facilities, which include eight restaurants and seven bars.
The Paraiso del Mar lobby features Mediterranean styling, with unlikely
combinations that work well together. A tiled dome ceiling fringed by a palapa
tops the large lobby, and flamingos patrol the small lagoon beside it. All of
the accommodations are in two- and three-story buildings, standardized
throughout. These structures flank both sides of a lake-sized pool that meanders
like an estuary from one end of the resort to the other. Ponds full of flamingos
and parrots, successfully designed to produce an audible "wow" from arrivals,
mark the open air lobbies. The "wow" continues as guests take in the breadth of
the pool, which ends near a one-km-long stretch of beach.
The hotel itself is breathtaking. With my first step into the
lobby, I was overtaken with the beauty of the land. The hotel has stunning
marble tiles in the lobby and on every path, fountains and ponds, flamingos
swimming feet away, peacocks prancing freely throughout the grounds. The hotel
is quite massive giving way for one of the largest pools I’ve seen. The vastness
of the grounds lends itself to a peaceful and relaxing experience.
The pool reminds me of a lazy river. It runs the length of the hotel. To get
from one side of the pool to the other would take about 30 minutes or more. The
pool includes beach volleyball, 4 swim-up bars, and a waterfall which protects
the hidden Jacuzzi within. Activities run throughout the day in certain sections
of the pool for the children’s entertainment, and many adults join in as well.
But if you want a quiet day, the pool is large enough to find your special spot
to curl up with your favorite book. The staff was exceptional throughout my stay
and made everything very easy and convenient. Check in took just a few minutes
and before I knew it, I was relaxing in my room with my bags and all. Whether at
a meal, the pool or one of the many bars, every member of the staff put forth
every effort to offer their assistance.

Exceeded My Expectations!!!
My wife and I and two other couples stayed at the Paraiso Beach from March 4-9.
From the moment we entered the lobby we were pretty stunned at the beauty of the
architecture and the welcoming staff.
Staff - from front desk, to baggage boys, to chamber maids, activity directors,
restaurant waiters, hosts, and chefs - all fall over themselves ensuring that
you "don't worry about a thing." Everyone is working very hard.
Food - Top notch. There is a great variety of restaurants (our favorite was
Mediterranean, we loved it! ) and times to choose from. We really enjoyed trying
different things at the buffet. The breakfast and lunch food selection was
unbelievable!
Rooms - Spacious, and clean. We had a standard King size, and it was great. We
requested upper floor, as we enjoyed the view, and they were happy to
accommodate us at the front desk. Double shower is great, and water pressure
fine.
Landscaping - The grounds are large and absolutely beautiful. Everything on the
property was perfectly groomed. Daily people are working to be sure you will not
find a leaf out of place. Also a great variety of birds, and animals on
property. Just relaxing to walk and take in the grounds day and night when it is
night lit everywhere.
We stayed in building 35 which was centrally located, near the pool and beach,
and had views of the lush tropical grounds.
Pools & Beach 10+ The beach had white sand and clear water, we had no problems
finding palapas even at 9AM. The pool is certainly huge and fun. If you want to
be around a lot of people and music, there is a section of the pool for that. If
you want to be alone with your significant other, you can do that too.
I strongly recommend this resort. Hope to go back soon! |
